I was so sure he was the soldier. Morgan disappearing when the soldier did just confirmed it, 'cause I pegged the 'genie' as Calcifer, and thus Howl and Calcifer were going after the little princess, and Howl being Howl he decided the safest place for his baby was with him, never mind any djinns.

Also my cat has just turned up COMPLETELY FILTHY. Whut.
