Would you like a little cheese with that whine?

To start things off, a meme shamelessly stolen from grey_ships.

THE SONG MEME

Three songs that make you smile:
1. It's Raining Men - Weather Girls (What? It's a great song!)
2. 1985 - Bowling for Soup (*snickers* *sings along* And when did Ozzy become an actor? Please make this stop, stop, STOP!)
3. Testify to Love - Avalon

Three songs that make you cry:
1. Love Song for a Savior - Jars of Clay (One of my best friends in college sent me a .wav file of this song when I was getting dragged down by my first quarter. It has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever.)
2. Dance with my Father - Luther Vandross
3. Bring Him Home - Les Mis (How, precisely, is one supposed to not cry during this song?)

Three songs that make you want to dance:
1. Accidentally In Love - Counting Crows (Has anyone else seen the music video for this? Cracks me up. Of course, I'd love to actually be able to see the end of it...)
2. Lady - Lenny Kraviz
3. Livin' La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin

Three songs that make you want to smash the radio:
1. Underneath It All - No Doubt (*snarls*)
2. What's it All About - Beastie Boys (Or however you spell it. *shudders*)
3. Anything by Britney Spears

Three songs that mean a lot to you:
1. Smell the Color 9 - Chris Rice
2. Blowin' in the Wind - Peter, Paul and Mary (Don't know if they originally sang it, but it's the version I like.)
3. Mary Did You Know - Mark Lowry

Three songs that you just don't get:
1. Mr. Brightside - by whoever sings it. Strangeness.
2. Underneath It All - No Doubt (I don't get why anyone would like it.)
3. Like a Virgin - Madonna (Talk about majorly strange, besides giving equally strange men music to sing on 'American Idol'. I need brain-bleach, please.)

Three songs that have memories for you:
1. On My Own - Les Mis
2. Dream the Impossible Dream - Man of LaMancha
3. Danny Boy

Hmm, fun. Had to look up the artists for a couple of those. Didn't bother for the ones I don't get - don't wanna get to know them better. And by the by, in case anyone's missed it, Midol is a placebo. *nods firmly*

Work was... horrid yesterday. We had two animals die randomly - a rabbit died under ansesthesia somewhere between the table we prepped her on and the surgery table. A trip of maybe 15 seconds. Alive... dead. And the poor intern tech who had prepped her felt so horrible...
Then, Robert's cleaning this cat's teeth, and it dies coming out of anesthesia. Of course, I'm then told to put it in the freezer, (*gag*), and then half an hour later told that oh, Supe from On High wants a necropsy on this one, so could I find the cat and the paperwork and bag them for later? Which means digging through a barrel of dead animals for one particular cat. In the dark. The freezer's light had burned out, evidently. *gags* I smelt like death for the rest of the night. Oh, then I got my midterm eval from my own supe... I'd really love to know that I'm not measuring up before they decide to give me a lousy review. So I have time to fix it, you know? Besides, some of the stuff she said was totally bogus. I give up. I've given everything I have to give to that job, and I haven't gotten one bit of praise back from the management. Chad's been nice though. Gave me a thank-you card for the wedding prezzie I gave him, said some nice stuff. He's a great guy. I should get him to fill out the final eval.

Today's been rather horrid as well, between sleeping in so late I missed my first class, and then spending the rest of the day wishing I could get a spay. It huuuuuuurts... The one (very) bright spot is a classmate lent me her "Muppet Show" DVDs. *mad grin* Best. Show. Ever. We watched one and a half episodes - the Mark Hamill one and the Paul Simon one. To all the Star Wars fans out there - Get a copy of the Mark Hamill one. *snickers* Oh no! It's Darth Nader!

Heh. Bedtime. Time to reboot and start it all over again. Hmmm... if I get up early, I can watch C-3P0 insult Miss Piggy some more...
