Keeping my trap closed
Jan. 21st, 2004 05:48 pmI really want to write a letter to the SJ news. A couple of days ago I wrote about an article they ran about that retriever... They've blown this story way out of proportion. It's now leading the local news, and they actually put a letter to the little girl who's part of the family that now owns the dog on the front page. I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. Unfortunately, my hands are tied - I'm an employee at the Humane Society, and thus cannot respond in the press. *sighs* The entire Vet Tech class is all spun up over this. The lady (previous owner) is suing the shelter and the new owners... she doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell, but this lawsuit is going to be major trouble to the shelter. It's like it's open season on the shelter (never mind shelter workers - we're evil evil dudes, doncha know). So, not gonna rant. I'll just sit on my hands and duct tape my mouth for the next month. Bleeeeeh.
In better news - the Microbio test I had today was pretty easy, think I aced it. The lab was fun too... we made dilutions of E. coli, and we're going to count the number of bacteria each dilution grew on agar plates on Friday. Fun. *grins* And we got to play with micropipettes. I cracked one gal up by comparing them to hyposprays... *grins* It's always fun to be around other Trekkies.
