Sometimes, y'just gotta say it.
And it is! Yesterday the lead vet let me close most of her spays (3 dogs and a cat, thank God they weren't timing me because OMG I am so slow. But. Animals stayed put together once I was done, thus, I win.) and all of the little kitten neuters, and a puppy neuter. So much fun, you have no idea. Ridiculous amounts of fun doing things that gross other people out. :D
And I feel all productive this morning. I actually got up early (*shock*) and exercized (*gasp*) and drove back to the shelter I worked at yesterday because I left my stethoscope behind last night (oops) and picked it up so I can work at a different shelter today with the residents. Whiiich I need to hop over to their office in about twenty minutes. Anyway. One of my classmates is coming along today to take pictures of snotty-nosed kittens for her research project.
RP announcement thingy: I only have three weeks of 'summer' left, before classes start up and things. So. Since there are Things What I Want To Do, aka various projects I've left undone until now, I'm cutting back a bit for these three weeks. Slowtimes, ongoing plot, and promised threads, I'll do. Which means yes Gar, Ace'll be there for the Happy Hour thread and Ems I promise Wedge'll be present for the *ahem* Charity Event, but I'm not going to randomly dump my pups in the bar for the next couple of weeks. So much to finish, so little time to do it. Also, if there's a slowtime I need to finish with one of your pups, and I've been lamebrained and totally forgotten it, please remind me and I'll get on it posthaste. I really need to tidy up the exceedingly long list of slowtimes I've got.
Anyway. Sac SPCA today. :D Last time was nice, we got to do a lot of kitty exams. And there was a gorgeous giant schauzer that was very well behaved. Should be fun!
Also? I need happy icons. I have happy icons on my harddrive, but I seem to forget to upload them when I have the time. Deduct ten points from my score (but I still win because animals went home alive whoot).
Alsoalso: Finally, finally finished 'Da Vinci Code'. ... It's... okay. There are honestly better books on the subject. Not exactly that subject, obviously, but the Knights Templar and what they found in the Holy Land and what happened to the Grail and what it is and the idea of the sacred feminine connected to the Knights Templar and so on and so forth. Brown continues to not be my favorite author of ever. Also, Langdon seemed supremely unneeded for the plot. He was just kinda... there, and people did things around him. Muchly annoying.
