No, I'm not going to talk like a pirate, because, quite frankly, I suck at it.

But.

I was watching 'Wife Swap' last night (WHAT? Sometimes it's funny) and there was a family of pirates on it.
No really.
The dude who created 'Talk Like A Pirate Day' and his family was on 'Wife Swap' last night.

OMG. THEY ARE NUTS.

FUN.

BUT BATSHIT INSANE.

I think they had some very good ideas - resisting the trend to create cookie-cutter kids with the perfect teeth and the perfect resume and the perfect... selves. But. Their house? Was practically two steps from being condemned. How hard would it be to get some Advantage on that poor dog? I'm sure if pirates could have lived without fleas, they would. Besides, fleas spread tapeworms, and... ew. Just ew.
The other lady was also batshit insane, but in the other direction. I feel so very sorry for the daughter, who totally freaked out at the idea of not being one hundred percent perfect. She's gonna give that kid a nerosis, if she hasn't already. Sheesh.

In other news.

SW-plot continues apace. Meaning, I actually have ideas for it. :D! *pokes millimun people on flist to go look*

They still haven't gotten our mailboxes up in the new building. It is very sad. How can mysterious prezzies appear in our boxes if there are not boxes?

There is a tiiiiny crack in my glasses. And my insurance card has gone AWOL. This is so not cool. Will have a chat with health services after lab. Plz give temporary card until the new year starts in... geeze, less than a week. What a time to lose the card. If I have to pay for a new card, I'm just waiting. It's a tiny crack, won't do any damage so long as I treat the glasses well. I'll betcha Martha tried to chew on them.

Still haven't gotten phone situation cleared up. Must do this after talking to health services. *facepalm* I love dealing with clueless people. It makes the blood pressure go up nicely.

Dear FAD professor: If this command system is so great, and has been in place since the post-9/11 rules went up... what the heck was going on in the Katrina disaster, hmmmm? Also, I do not consider the destruction of over 3 million birds, which was your example of how great this system works, to be a success.

Also? Ray-Romana so frickin' cute. They are so undeniably fluffy and adorable. Also? Geeklike. :D!

Why is it, when my dad walks into a store, dressed in anything from his rattiest jeans and a twenty-year-old t-shirt to a business suit and tie, salespeople are practically falling all over themselves to help him, but if I walk into a store, I perpetually get 'why the hell are you here, bitch' and have to practically twist their arms to do anything?
