bodldops: (cute kitten)
a) Went to the little cafe here to grab something to eat because I'm starving (and to keep me awake in Doctoring) and looked up after grabbing a bagel - and it was HRG guy!

Except it wasn't - it was my Radiology Prof in new glasses. But there was a moment of OMGWTF. He does look like a younger HRG guy.

b) *sighs* Tell me that doing the Heartbeat Run this weekend (5K) is a very bad idea. It is. Really. No, self, thou shalt not beat thyself into th ground.

*goes back into the torture room doctoring class*

c) Dear Surgical Teammate: No, I will not be happy if, after badgering me all week about sharpening the scissors and how you wanted to do it but didn't know where to take them (despite the info being both e-mailed and on CERE) and saying how you'd take them in this weekend, tell me this morning that you haven't called him yet and can I do that with you? Please, for the love of all things furry and cutable, learn how to act independently. If I turn up at the guy's shop tomorrow and find out you never turned the instruments in today, I will be pissed, and you will hear about it. Our first surgery is next MONDAY, and we've been rehashing this issue for weeks now. Geeze.

d) Dear Equine Prof: Yes, we had discussion today. Where were you? No love, Me.

e) Dear Doctoring Prof: Did you just say it was 'good medicine' for us to decide on an individual basis if we should give the Rabies vaccine to cats? Yes, okay, the risk is almost nonexistent, but that is not the same as actually nonexistent. Also? It is the law that we have to give the vaccine. Maybe they have different booster ranges, but we do have to give it. Why? There's only ONE case of a human surviving Rabies, and she has horrible and lasting neurological side effects. If people were to get Rabies from a cat we decided didn't need vaccination, our butts would be so dead. There isn't enough malpractice insurance in the WORLD. You might be richer than God, but we most assuredly aren't.
Plz go away now, Me.
PS - why would we ask about client aversions to vaccines when making our OWN recommendations about vaccines? Isn't that what client education is about? *flings popcorn*
