Jan. 3rd, 2009 07:38 amGood things come to those who don't bitch. Case in point: I stopped to get coffee on my way in to the hospital this morning, and their register wouldn't turn on. Point-blank. Wouldn't even do it for the manager. So after they fiddled with it for a while?
I got a free peppermint mocha. Made of win, guys.
Which sorta makes up for the 'not getting up early enough to completely dry my hair' and the 'should have grabbed the heavier coat before waltzing out the door because DAYUM it's cold this morning' and 'yes I know it's not as cold as some of you guys are dealing with but my car was iced over and the wind (omg the wind) went straight through my coat and I'm a thin-blooded CA gal okay?' and 'roommate if you don't plan on getting up that early please don't set your alarm for that early yis'.
Anyway. Is morning. At the hospital. Again. Found out my resident told one of the other students on Emergency yesterday that the parts of the record I stayed up until after midnight finishing? Could have been done, oh, say... right now, instead of last night. Thanks, buddy.
Classmate and I spent the first hour of our shift yesterday talking about Gordon Ramsay, and his shows, and how weird people are when they have him come to their place to help turn it around and get all huffy when he makes suggestions, and how much we wished he had a cafe or something around here. The menus on the websites look so fantastic.

Oh, learned today that hydrogen peroxide gets coffee stains out of white coats better than it gets blood stains. V. weird, but v. appreciated.

In other news, I got out at 5:30pm tonight, so I got a panini, and watched some Foyles War, and am now going to sleep, which is awesome. :D
Edit: Found a clip of David Tennant on Foyles War. Must resist urge to write a fic as to how that could be the Doctor. No brain. Bad brain. Shh.
