So, I, being the dutiful student (and good sister) ask my residents and clinicians first thing this morning if, Friday after next, I can go home early 'cause it's Raurence's birthday.

And they're all 'yeah, sure, how about 3pm? Too late?'

Them: Oh, wait, none of us are on next week. Ask next monday?
