:( Is it really so bad that after a long day of being super-social, I just want to be alone for a couple hours? It's not like I'm dissing anyone's fun. And no, I don't need to just try going to parties and such - I have. I'm utterly miserable by the end of the night. I hate even the idea of getting drunk - I've been tipsy, and that too is unhappy-making.

And no, I don't have to be OMG ALONE, going to watch a movie is fine, or just kinda chilling... but constant conversation or high-energy-ness... just ain't my thing.

So maybe I'll die alone, an old maid, all boring.

Better'n some alternatives.

WORD. I have been there.

Parties can be fun! And often are! But it makes one tired after a while.

Friend of mine once described an extrovert as someone who gets energy from being around people, and an introvert as someone who gets energy from being alone. Doesn't mean those of us that fall into the latter category are by default anti-social, it just means we pay a higher cost for being around people all day.
