Jun. 13th, 2006 07:22 amOne more test.
Well.
One more test, and finishing the take-home.
And then?
I'll have finished my first year.
Wow.
...
Yes, this is about the depth of my thoughts at ungodly A.M. I would like to know, however, why my cat felt the need to wake me up at 430 when my alarm was already set for 5. *cries for lost sleep* Hate finals. With a hate. Except there is no 8am class, so a little less hate than that.
Also? I may have to convince sis to see X3 tomorrow. That'd be a nice non-use of braincells. :D
My goodness that sounds like a nice way to spend a day. Or maybe go somewhere - Monterey, or San Fran... Somewhere Not Davis.
YAY.

Date: 2006-06-13 04:22 pm (UTC)I was reading, I think, Cat Fancy while waiting in line at PetSmart recently and one of the articles I read said that while you have to earn a cat's loyalty and devotion, as opposed to dogs which will give you theirs even if you're a complete bastard to them, once you have it they're as loyal as dogs, if not moreso. *huggles kitties* It also said scientists have finally proven that, yes, cats and humans do communicate so now there's basis to what owners have been saying for years. I read that and was like 'They're just figuring this out now?' I am not, by any stretch, a behavioralist or feline communication. I have, however, been owned by cats my entire life and I knew long ago there was communication going on. Not verbal, per se (though cats yelling at you for breakfast would fall into that category I suppose), but cats and their humans do communicate. You learn to read your cat's body language and behavioral quirks and things like that. They know that when you use a certain tone of voice and start walking toward the kitchen after you get out of bed, that means food is about to appear in their dish. They know that if you're flopped out on the futon watching TV in the evening to come jump up on your legs if they want attention because you've pulled them up there to scratch their head and the base of the tail and huggle them before.
