That was one of the last episodes I acquired and watched before coming away (the only one I watched after was, I believe, Earthshock. And I loved it. You can tell it was written by Douglas Adams, you really can.

Or whatever name he was using at the time.

Yup, that's the one. Another episode by Douglas Adams is 'Pirate Planet', which is beautiful in the absolute insanity of it. There's even mechanical killer parrots.
