1) Saw an ad for a reality show called 'Fat March'. It's another one of those weight-loss reality shows, like 'Biggest Loser' - in this one, teams are challenged to walk 500+ miles in 10 weeks.

And then I thought: Could I do that? Seriously, could I walk 500 miles in 10 weeks?

So I'm gonna try.

My body's gonna hate me. Thank me later, maybe. But hate me now.

2) My cat's been uberclingy lately. Usually she'll sit somewhere in the room, not really wanting any petting. Lately, she's been hard to keep out of my lap. Right now she's sitting on the couch next to me, leaning hard against my leg, purring like an outboard motor. Could it be my cat's gone soft?

3) There is, sadly, such a thing as paper made from elephant poop. No kidding. Do you think they'll use it at the Democratic Party?

4) Annnnd that's about it.

... I am intrigued by this marching project. Very, very intrigued. Tell me more?

Kitty probably fears you will run off and go camping again.

The paper just scares me. :)

No camping. Say thankya. I'm deeply committed to indoor plumbing and internet access.
As for the project, it'll be done via treadmill, for me at least. For the poor people on the show, it's a hike from Boston to Washington DC.

Hee! Okay, pseudocamping of the roadtrip and travel kind, then.

And it's too early in the morning for me to do math without a calculator, but that comes out to like 7 miles a day, doesn't it? Is there a tracking log or something?

(If you get the impression I'm trying to settle myself into the idea of doing the same thing, you'd be right.)

Like, 7.1 miles a day. There... are tracking logs? Like, I know Runners World Online has one, because I used to actually be fit enough to train for and run 5Ks, but I'm just doing it through LJ. Mostly because I can't be bothered to remember my old password for Runners World.

I was Lady Ranger on there though. I was on a Major Tolkien kick.
