In the previous post, I mentioned my new roommate seemed to be, miraculously sane.
Previous roommates, not so sane. A few weeks ago, I moved out of the old apartment (YAY). Now, let me clarify that the whole day we were there, there was No One else there. At all. Total abandonment.
Let the pictures commence!

Upon opening the front door, we were met by this lovely sight. Note: Nothing in there is mine.

Just in case you need another look.

This is really the kicker right here.

Yes, this is the gal who never returned anything, even if she didn't like it or discovered she already had it. Evidently this extends to the bags stuff comes in.

Sadly for her, the table is, actually, mine. And it left with me.

The kitchen! Doesn't look too bad from this angle, does it? (isn't the teddy bear magnet cute? Yeah, he's mine too. And left.)

But really, you need to look at all of it.

Go piles of dishes go!

Even in the sink! Love the classy coffee grounds look.

Or is it tea leaves? Both? Who knows!

Look, a fully stocked fridge! Never mind there isn't anyone there. The mysterious ghost people might need food.

One hopes the mysterious ghost people don't mind a little slime.

Okay, okay, a lot of slime.

At the date these pictures were taken, both cartons of milk were out of date. ... But why does one girl that doesn't drink much milk anyway (much more of a soda gal, as seen in previous pictures) need two cartons of milk?

And it's not just the refrigerator either - the freezer is stuffed full. Again, this is just for one gal. Or two, I don't know if the other one got her stuff out before she left.

Gotta use all the space, after all.

Here's a hint, kids: Overcrowding leads to defrosting, which leads to... you guessed it, more slime!

There was even a plague of locusts, evidently. These poor dudes were quite dead.

The mess isn't just in the front rooms - here's the laundry, with clothes that have been there since last September. I didn't take pictures of her room (and separate bathroom), but they were more (much more) of the same.

... They sure do have a lot of cleaning stuff though. There's even shampoo in there. Again, none of it mine. Most of it laundry detergent. None of the bottles are empty.
The worst part? It's been like this the whole time, except when I'd lose patience and go on a wild cleaning spree. SO GLAD THAT'S OVER.

Date: 2007-09-01 04:11 am (UTC)You want to live in a state of chaos when it's just you, that's one thing. When there are others living with you, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF! I'm not an organized person and there are usually things all over because I tend to leave things where I set them down (and I can generally find things later when I want them). I wouldn't intentionally subject someone else to that, though, in the shared space. I've never left a sink looking like your roomie did. It's not huge to rinse coffee grounds down the bloody drain, after all. I don't do dishes every day, but that's only because I generate so few per day it's more economical with water and dish soap to wait until I have a sinkful or so.
I boggle at the fridge. Mine isn't crammed that full by any stretch and I tend to do big shopping trips once a month and really load up (with milk and bread runs as needed).
Laundry from last September? Huh? That's...wow. I could never just leave stuff sit like that. I don't have enough clothes to do that. ;p
