bodldopsOn Friday, I went out and tried to prove that there is, in fact, a 'fall' season in Davis.
With pictures, of course.
There are pinecones (sorta)...
And geese that hiss as you walk by...
Who leave cool footprints on the pavement.
And we have the requisite tree turning colors...
In fact, we have two.
And some closeups of the leaves, because I think they are pretty.
Yup. Pretty.
And a tree with berries on.
Perhaps my finding out about how to get the close-up lens to work isn't a good thing?
I love live oaks. They're all gnarly. Now, this isn't a terribly fall-ish picture, but... live oaks. :D
... Crocuses are fall/wintery... right? >.> Okayokay I couldn't resist taking a picture of the pretty. :P
And we end with the UCDVM Blood Donor Horses! Alright, really not fall-ish at all, but... horsies! *is five*
And after all the shiny pictures, some serious business:
Marion Jones has pleaded guilty to taking performance-enhancing drugs at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games (among other things).
This?
Pisses me off. To no end. I know it's naive of me, but I'd like to think the Olympics was something more about testing the limits of human endurance or the nobility or all of those other words they stuff down our throats every time the Olympics roll around. It would make all of those athletes who claim that they're 'just so honored and happy to be here!!Eleventy!!1!' a little more believable.
*sigh*
