My usual night-before-test crazy schedule of sleep and studying , plus a morning bowl of cheerios (in this case, morning = 3ish am), leads to insanely real-feeling but utterly strange dreams. Plural.

1) I'm a dude named Michael... something, and I am supposed to go meet my girlfriend for dinner, but as I'm stretching a shirt out to try and hide the wrinkles, I start floating. I tell myself 'Self, this can't be real, people don't fly, and thus, you are sleeping', but I can feel the ceiling and see myself in the reflection off the windows. And I definitely feel the floor when I land. I then rush off on-time to meet girlfriend, who is pissed because I missed our date by days.

????

2) Then I wake up, because the phone is ringing - I'm a vet, and it's an emergency call. As a vet (and the right sex wtf) I'm called out to a llama farm (??) due to this weird noise. It sounds like they are all spontaneously breaking their bones - and it looks it too, they're collapsing in weird positions all over the place.

And then I really wake up and realize it's Slater helping himself to an early-morning snack from the food Martha left behind. I throw out all the cats and close the door, determined to get my last twenty minutes of sleep.

3) The alarm doesn't go off. In horror, I look at my cell phone (which I do, in RL, use as an alarm, since it's the most reliable, and loud) and there is just continuous scrolling text about how the robots have taken over and...

4) The alarm does go off, and I rush to my neurology midterm, and we are presented with a list of houses in town, with a brief case history for each. We are to go to each house and make a housecall to the person inside (who is, supposedly, an actor. Evidently Doctoring is getting in on this gig.) and come up a list of differentials for each case and explain them to the client. Except at each door is this complicated keypad thing with buttons like 'time out' and 'explain' and 'make it stop', and no one can figure out which button to push to make the doorbell ring, so we all fail the midterm.

>.>

Then I wake up for real, decide I'm tired of these crazy dreams, and decide to get going so I can have a cup of coffee before the test.

Conclusion - my brain is weird.

I hate having dreams about having woken up or missed my alarm or whatever. It always makes me discombobulated after I really do wake up.

Those are some delightfully weird dreams, though.
