I am so friggin tired of always being in the wrong. A few more compliments without the obligatory "but you did this all wrong" or "I can't believe you did this" or "insert favorite put-down here" would be awful nice. So I'm gonna go hide in my room and read for the rest of the night, hopefully I can do that in a non-offensory way.
Yes, I'm hiding. No, I don't care if that's a coward's tactic. I'm tired of it.\

I've had many, many times like that, too. That's as much a part of my life, it seems, as breathing and using the loo. It's not cowardly to go and hide under a rock (or behind a closed door) just to take a break from it all. I do that quite regularly.
