So, I watched 'NUMB3RS' tonight. I wasn't going to, but I remembered how much I used to love this show, so.

...

WTF was that?

Avoiding spoilers, but the whole last... I dunno, 10 minutes or so? Just feels slimy. Without any point of reprieve.

Usually there's at least one storyline where you go 'yay, our heroes have won again!' Except here, they failed to save the innocent guy, bad police work wins, and they cheated at the basketball game by using two ginormous professional players against a previously acknowledged crappy team.

NUMB3RS, you're supposed to be about how math is awesome and can sneakily solve crime, not how cheating is fun.

Yes I agree it was a very disappointing end. Especially give all the build up to improving the CalSci b-ball team using what they are good at....science. If you haven't been watching then you didn't even know that part, but they have been building it up for I think the last 4-5 episodes. Cheating to win was a huge let down.

I saw, after last week's episode, that they were going to have those two NBA stars on the show, but... I thought they'd be, like, coaching the team. Or something. Not playing, for a reward they're not going to get anyway (NBA stars onna spaceship, I don't think so).

You know I had forgotten about the NBA stars on the shuttle. Yep even more ridiculous. I just don't know what the point was.

Why start the whole thing if that is how they were going to end it? What sort of message are the writers trying to send?

You can cheat if you're cute and can promise ridiculous things!
