I? Went for a run today. This makes me proud, even if it was the most slow, painful, interrupted run in the history of runs. My knee's been bugging me since last Tuesday, when I stood on it too long during my amputation surgery, but today I told it to bite me and went for a run.

And really, most of my inability to run like the rest of the gazelles out today is my fault. When I hurt my knee, I was at a normal (if on the heavy side of normal) weight. At my second knee surgery, I was at a normal (again, heavy side of) weight. And then... I dunno. Life. Things. Me being too stressed and not giving enough energy towards being fit.

But I can fix that.

'Cause someday, I do want that marathon.

And next year (in a month or two, whut?) I'll be living near Yosemite. And you better believe I'm gonna hike all the trails. :D Knee or no knee.

Oh man, once you get settled up near Yosemite, I am SO finding a good time to take off work to come visit. And there can be hiking.
