All we want to do is eat your brains...
Jan. 3rd, 2011 12:21 am1) Hello, 2011. Well. That certainly started with a bang, didn't it? The hospital has been hopping the last two days, and 2010 ended in a crazed race to get a multitude of huge medical cases and an emergency surgery under control on a short day. I'm so glad I'm off the next two days. We got our butts kicked this afternoon - right up until closing, we were seeing crazy weird medical cases. Big change from last year.
2) It's that time of year again - New Years Resolutions. I've been notoriously bad at these, but this is the tiem to try again, right? So:
- This year, finally going to get the whole weight/healthy living thing under control. Got a good start on this - managed to work out every single day this week, and have lost two pounds. So... two days down out of the year, 52 weeks to go. >.>
- Am going to do something new every month. To make this easy, it only has to be the one thing. More is fine. But less is not. Lalala.
- Time to up the cleaning schedule - more maintenance, less Must Clean All The Things.
3) I don't particularly want to take down my Christmas tree. I need too, because it was kind of dry tree to begin with, aaaand... yes. Tree needs to go. But... I will miss the cheery lights. :(
4) So ready for the rain to be over. So ready. It's miserable cold. Which... I know sounds fairly ridiculous to anyone from places that actually get cold. Thin-blooded CA gal, yo.
