This is me, updating. Mostly because I have been told I update slower than most continents are formed.
Considering my history? I have no defense.
So, the life of me... My paper for immunology is going precisely nowhere (I do believe I picked the most boring paper in existance to analyze, go me). Gareth did indeed confirm I am a real person and not a robot. (I was really sneaky about hiding the metallic bits) Um.
... My life is rather boring at the moment. Finals are coming. So, between studying, and playing with the cat, and getting my pups broken on Milliways, I'm pretty predictable right now. The rafting trip that was supposed to have happened yesterday fell through due to the organizers wanting to go in the very early am when it was cold, and not later in the afternoon when it would actually be warm, so pretty much everyone ran screaming in the other direction.
Lalala.
I'm going to be done with my first year of vet school in a couple weeks.
How cool is that?
And, because I am still avoiding that thrice-damned paper from hell, a meme, garnered from Hawkelf, whom I can't seem to reply to for some reason or other:
1 Pick 25 of your favorite movies.
2 Then pick one of your favorite quotes from each movie.
3 Post the quotes in your journal.
4 Have those on your friends list guess what the movie is, no googling!
5 Either strike out the quote once it has been correctly identified, or place the guesser's user name directly after the quote.
1)The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life. The Last Samauri, guessed by Cupenny. Loved this movie so very, very much.
2)*singing* He throws an angry tantrum if he cannot have his way / He calls for Mom and sucks his thumb and doesn't want to play / Too late to be known as John the First, he's sure to be known as John the Worst! A pox on the phony King of England! Robin Hood (Disney), guessed by Krazykat and Gareth
3) Mr. Rat, I have a writ here says you're to stop eating Chin Lee's cornmeal forthwith. Now it's a rat writ, writ for a rat, and this is lawful service of the same. See, doesn't pay any attention to me.
4) Freeze means stop!
5)... Sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit. I, Robot, guessed by Gareth
6) I knew a man once who said, "Death smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back."
7)You know how Sister Berthe always makes me kiss the floor after we've had a disagreement? Well, lately I've taken to kissing the floor whenever I see her coming, just to save time. The Sound of Music, guessed by krazykat
8)What's wrong with you?
I'm waiting for dialysis.
Dialysis? What is this, the Dark Ages? Star Trek IV: The Journey Home, Guessed by Cupenny. McCoy gets the best lines ever.
9)Monet's unknown masterpiece, Dogs At Cards. The Thomas Crowne Affaire, guessed by Aspen
10)That Vizzini, he can *fuss*.
Fuss, fuss... I think he like to scream at *us*.
Probably he means no *harm*.
He's really very short on *charm*.
You have a great gift for rhyme.
Yes, yes, some of the time.
Enough of that.
Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
If there are, we all be dead.
No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Anybody want a peanut? The Princess Bride, guessed by Krazykat
11)He takes his drinking very seriously. Not to worry; he'll be his usual charming self by morning. The Three Musketeers, guessed by Krazykat
12)There! I have you! You're completely dished. Do you not know that in the service *pause* one must always choose the lesser of two weevils? Master and Commander, guessed by Cupenny
13)I only joined the WI to make my mother happy. I do, I hate plum jam. I'm crap at cakes, I can't make sponge. In fact, seeing as it's unlikely that George Clooney would actually come to Skipton to do a talk on what it was like to be in "ER", there seems very little reason for me to actually stay in the WI. Except suddenly... suddenly I want to raise money in memory of a man I loved, and to do that I'm prepared to take me clothes off for a WI calendar, and if you can't give us ten minutes of your time, Madam Chairman, well then, frankly, guys, I'm going to do it without council approval. Because there are some things that are more important than council approval. And if it means that we get closer to killing off this shitty, cheating, sly, conniving bloody disease that cancer is, oh God, I tell you, I'd run round Skipton market naked, smeared in plum jam, wearing nothing but a knitted tea cosy on me head and singing "Jerusalem". Calendar Girls, guessed by Boz
14) We've had some good shows, but they're not daring enough. Let's get rid of the clothes.
15) Approval, sir, in my opinion, demands the attainment of perfection. And in that sense, you rather overrate the charms of your society. I'faith, for one thing, it does seem monstrous ill-dressed for any society, even a new one.
16)They come, your highness, in numbers and weapons far greater than our own.
Numbers do not win a battle.
No... but I bet they help. The Chronicles of Narnia, guessed by Gareth and Krazykat
17)And suddenly lightning flashed and a mighty thunder shook the wasted land, and the evil king glared at the good prince and said...
...something very forgettable. The Mask of Zorro, guessed by Krazykat
18)Our Father, who art in Calgary, Bobsled be thy name. Thy kingdom come, gold medals won, on Earth as it is in Turn Seven. With Liberty and Justice for Jamaica and Haile Selassie. Amen. Cool Runnings, guessed by Gareth
19) She has a sense of humor... and brains... life wouldn't be dull. One would wake up, and there would be a whole day full of jolly things to do. And then we would come home and go to bed... and that would be jolly too.
20)"You who swallowed a falling star, o' heartless man, your heart shall soon be mine." That can't be good for the table. Howl's Moving Castle, guessed by Cupenny. First anime movie I've actually really enjoyed.
21)Ray, when someone asks if you're a God, you say "Yes"! (Cam, I'm blaming this one on you.) Ghostbusters, guessed by Gareth
22) Remember what John and Paul said.
The apostles?
No, the Beatles. All you need is love.
23)The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom; I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh... you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office. That's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school. Ferris Bueller's Day Off, guessed by Cupenny
24)Don't worry, my friend's down there. He'll have that shield down in time... Or this'll be the shortest offensive of all time. Return of the Jedi, guessed by Gareth. I wanted to put a Wedge quote up there, but I couldn't think of a good one off the top of my head, and my DVDs are in San Jose.
25) Jesus H. Christ! Jesus Mary and Joseph! All the saints and martyrs and Jesus! Did I mention Jesus?
Considering my history? I have no defense.

Also, close but not quite on 15. To be quite fair, that one and one other aren't 'movies' in the very strictest sense.
