Bride of PicSpam!
Feb. 6th, 2007 07:54 amCrashed at 8pm last night. So why was I still 'OMG getting up too early' at 6am? That's ten hours! Sheesh.
Saw Dad's big truck (and it is a big truck), and it is way with the awesome. It's huge for one, and all decked out. Gotta love it.
With the major attempt at catching up on sleep, I missed both Heroes and 24. *sulk* I even went to the store (walked, even!) to get new batteries for the teeny!TV in case there was a hostile takeover of the other TV by the flatmates. At least I can catch Heroes on Friday. Yay for SciFi!
... I did not receive my TIME for this week. Am bummed. Do they not know I need my mix of relevant and utterly irrelevant news to get through the week? WOE. WOE, I SAY. Will start hunting for numbers to call if it doesn't come in today's mail.
And now, today's picspam. Today's topic: 'Dear Arboretum, it's still February'

Every year, somewhere January/February, there's a couple of weeks of absolutely gorgeous weather, and all of the trees bloom. And then the storms come and wash them all away. Stupid trees. Pretty, stupid trees.

The state flower, the Golden Poppy. Also, evidently, none too bright. Very pretty though. They cover the hillsides later, in March or so, and it's gorgeous.

I'm not sure what these are, but the big shadow is mine. Note to self: Check direction of light before shooting. Oops.

Diego wishes I would stop bringing my camera on walks. He was actually being very good yesterday. He got extra pettings.

LADYBUG! :D

It's either a cool new type of duck I've never seen before, or a mutant crossbreed between the mallards and that barnyard goose that hangs out with them. My guess is mutant.

Aspen, this reminds me of that icon of yours. These are rosemary plants, and on the way back to the kennel part of the walk is lined with just these. It smells and looks wonderful.
*flop* Syspath lab today. GI. Whooo. >.> Maybe it'll just be scope work. Maybe I'm delusional.
