Life, the universe, and everything
Apr. 3rd, 2007 01:18 pmOr just lately, I guess, as there's only ten more minutes until I need to get off my butt and go to Equine Medicine lab.
1) Am attempting to kill myself with classes. For the first couple weeks, anyway, then my schedule gets much, much better as Equine Repro (which I am taking) dies off and Large Animal Repro (which I am not) picks up. For most of the quarter? 10am starts to my mornings.
BRILLIANT.
2) Am seriously considering an Argentinian Tango class that meets on Friday nights. Was considering a Ballroom Dancing generalesque class instead, but it directly conflicts with my 415 experience labs on a couple nights, so. >.> Could be fun? I have a few more days to decide.
3) The prof for the Toxicology class paces in circles. This makes me very, very dizzy. To the point I can either stare fixedly at my notes, or watch her and have to leave after ten minutes. Ew. Maybe it's the tired. I'm very tired today for no good reason.
4) Diego has officially forgotten everything I taught him. Woe. And I forgot to bring my camera today. More woe. Like I don't have a bajillion pictures that need uploading. Oh yes, picspam is totally coming. ... Eventually!
5) Sophomore Doctoring is a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME. Just sayin'.
6) People drive like lunatics. Evidently a foot is plenty of passing room on the freeway. O.O
7) So I got my iTunes updated? Now realplayer can't find 80% of the songs on my computer, because evidently the update re-named all the files. *facepalm*
8) I actually managed to clean the bathroom and get the trash taken out last night. YAY productive! Now, if I could only put everything away in my room and vacuum, I'd have a clean place.
9) Martha is a deeply strange cat. She'll cry the entire time I have her in her carrier, but when we're in the apartment, she spends quite a lot of time happily curled up in there. WTF.
10) That said, evidently IAMS has started saying some of its food needs to be recalled too. Anything with wheat gluten, since no one is completely sure what's causing the toxicity. So. Check your labels, folks.
11) Evidently the VMLF was dedicated to some guy. So in our schedules, we no longer have meetings in VMLF. We have meetings in a building named after this guy. Which is no problem... except there wasn't really a big notice about the dedication. Lots of people going '... new building where?'. Fun.
12) Break was goooooood. There was a huge rummage sale, where lots and lots of books and CDs and movies and an old Santana LP were bought. Got '10th Kingdom' (movie) for my Wolf fix, 'Scent of a Woman' (movie) which is SO MUCH FUN, 'Notes from a Small Island' (book) which is an interesting book about the oddness of England and why we love it odd, and lots of other books I haven't gotten into yet. *happies* Also, there was lots of laying around and idly working on cross-stitch projects and movie and tv watching and such.
Aaaand now I need to go to lab. Yay. Ish. Thing. Yes, yay. I'd be more enthused if I were less tired. I've got that over-caffinated, under-slept feeling, which is weird because I haven't had much caffiene, but I did have a lot of sleep. My brain hates me, is all.
