Look at me joining the twenty-first century. Never thought I'd actually have an online journal. I do wonder if this will last beyond the first few posts, or if I'll get bored with it and go on to other things. Ah well.
I worked today, hooray for me. I like working Sundays at the shelter. It's less busy, and I can spend more time with the animals I really like. For example, I had time to brush the URI kitten we have quarantined in the back. He really likes to be petted, but we so rarely have time. The best description I've ever heard of the shelter hospital is "It's like a MASH unit... just with animals". (Thanks Sue) It is like that old TV show/movie (I can't compare it to a real MASH unit, I've never actually seen one in action). It gets silly sometimes (hard not to when there's a playful puppy bouncing around the room), it gets overly emotional (*swears a blue streak at abusive owners*), and it gets philosphical. I've learned a lot though. I've been forced to form a concrete stand on euthanasia. I can now pill a cat with my eyes closed (unless said cat thinks I'm cocky. Then all bets are off). I can read an animal's body language and predict it's behavior with a fair amount of accuracy. At least, I haven't gotten bitten yet. It's been a near thing some times, but no tooth marks yet. I've learned that vets deserve respect. So to vet techs. Animal rescue groups are godsends. ER techs are worth their weight in solid gold. One can never have too much chocolate.

Yet another person converted to LJ-ism. Don't worry, it's not that bad. :) In fact, it's very useful for letting out emotions, or nattering on about your opinions when you're fairly sure mostly nobody cares. *grins* It's also good for those times when you are just bored to tears and want to write something. At least, that's what I use mine for. Every once in a while I post something semi-sane for my friends. ;)

Like the icon? I found the picture somewhere(forget completely where) but of course I added the text in myself. If you want to use it, I can go about making another one. I like making icons, even if I'm not good at it. I like this one, in any case. *grins*

*glomps again just for the heck of it* Hehehe.

Hm. Must. Not. Oggle. Icon.

Talking to myself there. You can oggle as much as you like, as you are the founding member of the DBFC, I believe. *grins* You know, maybe I could get somebody to animate an icon for me...I could make the images with this icon...That would be fun. If you could think of something appropriate to say for your club, even better. :)
