I was fired today. I'm going to get paid until the 12th, but after that....

I've been told the difference between 'laid off' and 'fired' is important. In my case, it's 'laid off'. Same bloody difference. I got the whole "It's not you, it's us" speech... am rather proud of myself, didn't give that .... mrrr... person the satifaction of seeing me cry.
